Owners

Dave Jackson – Owner of Auto Body Crafters. Dave got his start in the collision repair business in 1981 by working part time at a body shop while attending his 3rd year of school at S D Tech. His passion for repairing and customizing automobiles soon surpassed all else as he pursued a career in auto body and collision repair. Auto Body Crafters originally began in 1993 in a 2-car garage as a part-time restoration business. In October 2000, we completed construction on our new 7500 sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility. Today, we are continually adding new equipment and on-going technician training to keep abreast of the changes in the collision repair industry. Auto Body Crafters is not an average “production shop” and strives to maintain quality of workmanship in every job we perform.

Michaelle Jackson - Co-owner and bookkeeper of Auto Body Crafters. Dave and Michaelle Jackson have been married since 1983 and have two daughters and a granddaughter.

Dave has been active in the Rushmore Lions Club since 2002 (Club President 2005-2006) and served as local committee chairman on Campaign SightFirst II which raised over $200 million internationallly.  Dave was recently elected to his 3rd 3 year term on the board of directors of the South Dakota Lions Eye and Tissue Bank (BOD President 2011-2012).

Dave's ultimate task is to make your life as easy as possible from the time that you come in for an estimate to the time when you are picking up your vehicle after repairs have been completed.

How will he do that? He will:  1.) write the most accurate estimate possible while discussing the necessary repairs with you; 2.) assist you with insurance company communication (phone, fax, e-mail); 3.) assist you with rental car acquisition; 4.) manage your repair as it moves from department to department; and, 5.) communicate with you throughout the entire repair either via phone, e-mail, or text. OR all three if that's what you prefer.
